Germany booked their spot in the Euro 2008 championships final on Sunday.

In a humdinger of a contest, the Germans beat the ‘never say die’ team Turkey 3-2 and were finally able to end their run in the tournament. The Germans fought back from 1-0 down after the 22nd minute to equalise in the 26th minute, meaning that Turkey only led for four more minutes, adding to their previous nine in the tournament.

In the second half, Germany showed why they will make worthy champions as they went out with the desire to win and did not let the Turks run riot like in the first half. An error from both the keepers meant that the score was 2-2 by the 88th minute, with Turkey again looking like pulling off another upset. However, Lahm had other ideas and scored an absolutely stunning goal with a 1-2 with Hitzlsperger and fired home the winner.

They now await the winner of the match betweeb Russia and Spain to find out who their adversaries will be.
