Ole!! Spain in Euro Finals

Spain have made it to the finals of a major football tournament for the first time in 24 years when they beat Russia 3-0 in the semi finals of the Euro championships. They now take on Germany in the final on sunday.
David Silva acored in the 82nd minute to give his country a 3-0 lead after Daniel Guiza had scored in the 73rd minutes to make it 2-0 after Xavi Hernandez had put Spain ahead in the opening minutes of the second half.
Both teams made a lively start in the pouring rain with Spain immediately hitting the comfort button. They looked potent when going ahead and looked solid in defense when Russia attacked. But in the end it seemed that the Russians shouldn’t have bothered to turn up as the score line was quite emphatic given the occasion.
Spain had earlier beaten Russia 4-1 in the opening game of their group D. This now means that while the Spanish will be dreaming of their first major title in years, Russian coach Guus Hiddink now has the distinction of taking three international teams to major semi finals, yet never having reached the final.
