Fed-Express marches on

Five-time champion Roger Federer has advanced to the fourth round at Wimbledon with a straight-set win over Marc Gicquel of France.

After a late start following a 1-hour, 41-minute rain delay Friday, Federer was broken in the opening game but rallied for a 6-3, 6-3, 6-1 third-round win over 53rd-ranked Gicquel on Centre Court. His winning streak on grass improved to 62 matches.

Federer, bidding for a sixth consecutive Wimbledon title, has dropped only two service games in eight matches since his lopsided French Open final defeat to No. 2 Rafael Nadal and is now again favourite to retain his Wimbledon title for a record sixth time.
